In the production process of adsorbent resins, industrial raw materials are generally used, and the products are not further purified. Therefore, a small amount of monomers, porogens and other organic impurities are often left in the resin, so pretreatment must be carried out before use.


Adsorbent resins are usually stored in wet state. Storage temperature is usually 0 - 40 C. When storage temperature is lower than 0 C, clarified saturated salt water should be added to the packaging bag to soak the resin. If exposed to air, the resin may be partially dry and dehydrated. Because most of the adsorbing resins are hydrophobic, in order to hydrate the resin again, some dehydrated adsorbing resins should be fully immersed in methanol or other water-soluble solvents. After the immersion is complete, methanol or other solvents should be replaced by water washing.


In addition, confusion occurs when the resin is stored and filled by the user. It must be identified and put into the device after confirmation, so as to give full play to the performance of the resin.
